CONCERT PERCUSSION

The North Allegheny Concert Percussion Ensemble is an extracurricular ensemble at North Allegheny designed for percussionists of all levels Grades 9 through 12.  Participation in percussion ensemble is strongly recommended for all percussionists wishing to improve their playing abilities as well as perform percussion specific music. This ensemble focuses on building technical foundations in all areas of concert percussion including but not limited to:  Concert Snare Drum, Keyboard Percussion, Timpani, and Auxiliary Percussion.  It reinforces concepts and techniques students already know as well as teach new skills and techniques, giving students the opportunity to move to the next level within the concert percussion idiom.

The ensemble rehearses during the fall and early winter once per week at the Senior High School, and performs as part of the annual Night of Percussion concert at the end of December each year.

Concert Percussion is directed by Evan Brown
