Disney Packing / What to Bring

 

 

Students should plan to bring one small suitcase or duffle bag that will hold all of their clothing, shoes and toiletries.  You will only be away for 4 days so you should not need a large suitcase. This bag will be checked luggage, not carried on to the plane.  All students will be provided with an NA Band Disney Trip Shirt that MUST BE WORN on 4/13 from the time of departure from NASH until we arrive at the hotel in Orlando.

 

A recommended packing list is as follows:

 

  • 4 sets of clothes appropriate for spending the whole day in the Disney and Universal Parks
  • Comfortable shoes (no flip flops)
  • Pajamas
  • Socks/Underwear for 4 days
  • Black NA Bands T-shirt (required for Monday 4/17 to wear on the flight home)
  • Sweatshirt or light jacket in case of cool weather
  • Toiletries
  • Phone/Charger

 

Students are permitted to also bring one backpack containing incidentals and snacks that will be carried onto the plane with them.

  • We recommend students bring their NA Bands Hoodie in their backpack in case it is chilly on the plane
  • Please bring a refillable water bottle in your backpack so that you can fill it once you get through security. Students are NOT PERMITTED leave the group to purchase food or drinks in the airport.
  • We strongly urge students to leave their laptops in Pittsburgh to avoid loss/theft/damage.  Students will be fully occupied in the Disney/Universal Parks each day. 
  • Please pack all of your toiletries in your checked bag to streamline the TSA security process
  • No gaming systems larger than a Nintendo Switch

 

ALL INSTRUMENTS, FLAGS, BATONS, POMS, UNIFORMS, UNIFORM SHOES/SOCKS AND AUXILIARY UNIFORM ACCESSORIES (MAKEUP, HAIR, TIGHTS, ETC) MUST BE LOADED ONTO THE INSTRUMENT TRAILER BEFORE IT LEAVES NASH SO THAT IT WILL BE ACCESSIBLE FOR THE PARADE.  If you need it for the parade and it is not loaded on the trailer at NASH, you will have to carry it with you all day in Disney before the parade.
